In March, 1994, the Gladney Center for Adoption's first internationally adopted child came home to the United States from Shanghai, China. Since that time, Gladney has placed nearly 1000 healthy infants and toddlers, and children of all ages with special needs, with families living in the United States. Over the past several years, adoption from China has emerged as an effective way to make or grow a family.

Boo Bash!, Or The Devil and The Princess
Our son James had the first annual Boo Bash fundraiser at his school the Friday before Halloween. Our devilish boy was very excited about this. However, truth be told, his baby sister Kathryn did NOT enjoy her costume...in fact she hated it and refused to wear the gorgeous cape at all. The pictures tell the story of the handsome devil who's the life of the party and the reluctant princess who nonetheless tried to get into the spirit of the event with a little wand fencing and arts and crafts, topped off by a nice drink and going through the loot bag at home!
